Young Ko was named LPGA Player of the Year for the lowest scoring average 69.06. She won the LPGA KEB 2017 Hana Bank championship, later in which she proclaimed her plans to join the LPGA Tour in the 2019 season.
She won the Bank of Hope Founders Cup on the LPGA Tour on 24 March 2019. After, she won her first LPGA major championship – the ANA Inspiration on 7 April 2019.
